I have navigated the globe and back in my professional futbol life. If I told you that I've played with and against the best would you believe me? If I recounted the futbol greats who helped me on my voyage would you know who they are? One coach and man whom I would like to thank is you Coach Walter. Much love and much respect to you Coach Walter:
Here is a brief list which I will start with my first Futbol coach, my Father. Next is our friend Walter Soccer Pro. My father has been taking me to his camps since I was 8 years old down there on the Crown Valley soccer fields. As a matter of fact, Coach Walter has a loving way of flying by and checking in on his players, always quick to lend a supportive hand, always with his sharp eye of futbol observation, always being that good natured, signature smile on his face, carrying around quietly that good natured support--the support found only in the deepest of honorable men, cradled deeply thru a earned valor, through a lineage of warriors, a bloodline of honor, of goodness.
This man is the type of man that literally drops everything to teach the youth how to be honest, responsible, futbolers that positively contribute to our society, to our neighborhoods, to our country and world.
He literally dropped everything recently to meet with me, one of his many, many former players that made it to the professional futbol level, to help support and comfort me during a recent family sickness. At my most difficult times, coach Walter is here for me, is here for his futbol players always, and his continuous kindness and care for me---I will always be so grateful and appreciative of my coach Profe Walter, that I had to post this to thank him for taking the time and the attention to help me and my Family and so that everyone knows what a wonderful guy this man is.
Coach Walter was there when I scored my first professional goal when I was a thin, wide eyed professional greenhorn, at 18 years old signing my first professional futbol contract to play for the LA Salsa in the USISL. It was a game against the champs and league leaders Monterrey Bay Jaguars and while we lost 3-1, I came on as a second half sub and pushed upwards and scored my first professional goal. What made that day even more special for me was that my parents were at the game as was coach Walter with a group of young soccer players from his camps.
Minutes before i was substituted on and entered the game, coach Walter came down to the pitch with those kids and told them that if they continued to train and stay disciplined and stay healthy people they too will become professional athletes, as I had done. I was beaming. Coach Walter then reminded me to warm of properly, to get a good sweat in during warm ups on the sideline and when Iget in the game to look to be offensive, to push the ball forward, to try to make a positive impact both in the game---as in our very lives.
Well I took that chat and ran with it, scoring my first goal after making a 50+ yard down the middle. I made the newspaper the next day and cut it out and saved it. I still have that clipping
Many other wonderful yet difficult futbol adventures would follow for me. The business, the politics of professional futbol is ruthless, so its good to remember the beauty, the purity of the sport and the lessons it teaches so we all can be better people in life. This is what great coaches do, they inspire positively, as Coach Walter does:
I was selected in the innagural draft of the MLS with New England Revolution--the youngest American to do so, with the Arizona Sandsharks of the Indoor league, I played professionally in Mexico with Atletico Celaya and with Correcaminos, I played minor league ball in Germany and in the Netherlands.
I got a chance to play with one of my American futbol idols Ricky Davis, Alexi Lalas and Paul Caliguri, Cobi Jones, Joe Max Moore. I got to play against world futbol greats such as Hugo Sanchez
Carlos 'el Pibe' Valderrama, Zague, Emilio Butragueno, Michel, Cuauhtemoc Blanco.
I was coached by futbol greats, Coach Walter Eisner, Coach Tadeo Risco (both Peruvian Internationals) Irish International Coach Stapleton (IRL), Mexican International Coach Cristobal Ortega, Professor Alvarado (MX) and many many other whom I apologize for not recalling at this moment but who also shaped me into the futballer I am today.
It brings me much joy to recently have run into Coach Walter again, at the soccer fields and for me to be able to thank him for being such a loving, caring, and wonderful coach to me and to so many others. Thank you Profe! Thank you so very much for your time, your attention, your support, your kindness. You are a gem of a person and I look forward to sharing more futbol memories with you.
Lets create our own futbol club so we can continue to teach the youth to be strong, disciplined, positive members of our communities and our country ??!
We can do it! Thank you Coach Walter for your love and support. Much love and much respect to you Good Sir.
Thank you Coach!
Sincerely, Jorge Olamendi
I will never forget the day i met Mr. Walter Eisner, who i affectionately refer to as Walter, I was 17 with only a few months of my senior year of high school left. I was disappointed to be left off the varsity team (unjustly) as a senior, and I didn't know what else i was going to do with the deep love and passion i still had for the sport other than brushing the disappointment off and trying out for community college.
To put my mind at ease i would go to nearby fields and practice on my own or with a buddy. Up to this point I had seen Walter training a few students at Crown Valley park on a couple seperate occasions but didn't have any idea who he was. I remember being impressed by a little girl he was training and by a flick up he did one time. Things i could not do at the time...
I practiced, and i trained constantly, and Walter, from afar, must have noticed something. On one of these days, i was training on my own at crown valley park on the side closest by the street. He had just finished training on the opposite side of the field and was heading back to his car, which was parked on the side of the street. As he was walking by, i wanted to look really good, i always aimed to impress people and i guess i respected him from then. i did a couple juggling moves successfully and extremely cleanly. Probably the cleanest i had did them up to that point. He had already almost gone about 10 feet past me when he turned around and approached me. He said to me,
"I've been watching you, i want to know, how serious are you about this?" It all history from there.
There is so much i can say about Mr. Walter Eisner. He taught me so much in my years of training with him. He is a mentor, a teacher, a trainer, he's always in my corner, never betray my confidence or trust, and most importantly a true friend.
I have grown so much under his tutelage, he has taught me the rights and wrong in soccer. He improved my psychology. Made me strong and skillful. He prepared me for everything, like tryouts and even rehabbing me when i was injured.
I am 24 years old now, and i have struggled with all kinds of things in my life, but Walter's training will always be with me and he has always been there for me and always believed in me. He made me believe when i didn't believe. He made my path clear and made me believe in shooting for the stars. No matter what anyone said. I remember players on teams where would lie or B.S. with me to make me feel less than myself.
He would tell me, "Are you joking, you don't think you're the best player out of anyone of these players here, come on Shahdon don't kid yourself."
He always believed in me. I needed that in my life. But he would never be soft with me. Never lie to me. Always told me exactly what i was doing wrong, (sometimes it was a lot) and i would get frustrated and upset. Even now all i can do is smile at the thought of myself getting upset and him being very patient with me. Or even getting mad at me because i was acting like an A-hole. He put up with everything. And I love him for that and many other reasons.
I'm leaving in 2 days to go overseas and start my career in soccer. And all i can do is be grateful to him and appreciative.
THANK YOU WALTER!
From there to the next level and then to the next level.

"Walter is an amazing trainer! What he teaches is far beyond books, his intelligence is clearly from his life experience as a Pro Soccer Player and his ability to see on many different levels. Walter is a multidimensional trainer. He teaches the player on so many levels of intelligence and then trains the body to become instinctual while playing the game of soccer. He also builds up his players on many levels, too. Not just physically and intellectually, but to the core of the individual well being.
Personally, I watch Walter take our son within a month of training, to the ability to bend the ball at corner kicks. Yes, our son has always been passionate about soccer and made it clear that he's here to be a Pro Soccer Player someday. But the fine tuning that Walter has done has been quite noticeable and very remarkable.
There was a time while Walter was out of the States, our son had an unfortunate turn of events and almost gave up his passion for soccer. When Walter returned, Walter was very attentive and literally rebuilt our son on all levels. In my eyes, he saved our son. Our son is now stronger than ever and thriving, not to mention his amazing advanced athletic soccer ability. We owe so much to Walter, for what he's done for our son. Walter will always be in our lives, and hopefully will always mentor our son.
Thank you, Walter! Thank you for taking our son from a dark place, back to the joy of his passion for soccer. Thank you for building him up on such an intuitive level. Last but not least, thank you for advancing his soccer skills on a level that is indescribable. You have made our son a lethal player who will reach his dream without a doubt. You're the best! A world class trainer! Thank you from the bottom of our heart."

Walter has built a reputation over the years as a class A trainer and coach. Here are some links and profiles telling what people have to say about him.
“We wanted to provide our daughter, Ling, a warm up session prior to the start of her high school season. We contacted Walter and he agreed to work with Ling while we were in the area on vacation. Walter quickly established that proper form and technique were more important than mindless conditioning drills. Walter’s nature left Ling at complete ease. My wife and I were very impressed with Walter’s methods of teaching. The fact that he played professionally for fifteen years and has coached in many different venues was a significant factor in our selecting him.
Each day Walter came to the practice fully prepared and focused on the lessons of the day. He is very efficient with his time relating to the application of the skills he is teaching. We were impressed with all of the skills Ling learned from Walter, many of them new even though she has been playing for ten years. In all, it was a great minicamp prior to the start of the season. Walter significantly improved Ling’s technical skills and mindset in just six days.
Last, we found Walter to be a very genuine person with a great sense of humor. My wife and I attended each session. We really enjoyed Walter not just as a coach but as a new friend. I really was impressed with his philosophy of athletics and life. I find it very valuable to the player (and the parents). It would be very difficult to find another soccer coach like Walter. We look forward to seeing him soon.”
See you soon Walter.
Best Regards,
Dave Ritter, PE
Dear Walter,
I've already started soccer season and I'm excited to try out everything you've taught me.
Our first game is next Thursday & I'll be sure to let you know how that goes.
My dad says he'll write when he returns from California. He's there again for work. Until then, I'm forwarding you my testimonial. I hope you can use it.
Walter is a very fatherly figure. He's extremely encouraging and always expresses faith in his students, sometimes more than they have in themselves. Walter taught me things I never thought I could do, especially not after just a few days of practice. But after the first day of training with him, I already noticed an improvement. I highly recommend Walter to anyone who's eager to take themselves to the next level. Not only will he teach you the skills it takes to get there, but he'll also instill a passion for the game within each and every player. Walter is very relatable and makes me want to be the best I can be, not only as a soccer player, but also as a person. I'm excited to take the lessons he's taught me and the skills I've learned, and apply them in the following years.
Sincerely,
Ling Ritter

"Training with Walter Eisner has had an IMMEDIATE impact on my playing style, technique and form. He teaches me the CORRECT way to handle the ball, move my body and read the field. These are things that even many profesionals do not learn! I definitely recommend him to everyone involved in youth soccer - he is fantastic"
Starting with the So Cal Blues, with whom she won the Cal South State Championship at the U11 level, Dani moved on to SC Slammers, playing through her U15 year. Then, Dani played up one year at G90 with the ISC Strikers in CSL Premier League. She scored over 120 goals in less than 4 years and received a full scholarship at NCAA Div I South Carolina State University, where she became their top scorer her freshman year. Academically dissatisfied with SCS, she transfered to Kansas Wesleyan, where she received her undergrad in Management Information Systems, and then went on to earn her Master in Business Administration (MBA).
Dani currently lives in Australia.

"Just two years ago I started training with Walter and immediately improved my skills, technique, confidence and intensity. Walter is the best trainer I have worked with. Walter provides new skills and advice with each session. My love for the game has grown stronger as a result of my training with Walter. I am on my way to becoming the player I want to be. He cares about the whole package; me as a player and a person. Walter is a lot of fun and has amazing stories from his days as a pro. I know I can trust Walter. I have a lot of respect for Walter and am truly thankful for the guidance and instruction Walter has given me."
"Walter was recommended to us by a long time friend and soccer mom. We arranged to meet with Walter in 2007 and our daughter Caitlin has been training with him ever since. Walter is very patient, humorous, and clear in his instruction. He understands the game. Caitlin’s skills and playing style have improved tremendously over the last two years. The improvement has become even more obvious in recent months as Caitlin grows and the training can now build on the ground work completed over the last several years. Walter is able to put many things in perspective for Caitlin including issues with players, coaches and her own performance. Walter has gone out of his way for Caitlin and attended many of her games to see what she needs to work on next. We highly recommend Walter as a trainer and a friend and look forward to many more years of training."

"Ravi has been playing club soccer since he was five years old. Through the years he had several trainers and joined many soccer camps. But a few private sessions with Walter made the significant change in Ravi's ball handling, shooting and physical aspect of the game. Rather than long drills and conditioning, Walter emphasizes correct technique of shooting, controlling and passing the ball."
Thank you for your help with Ravi.

My daughter Lauren and I were visiting friends in Laguna Niguel before
playing in the GU14 San Diego Open. We happen to meet Walter one
evening while working out at a local field. Walter and I had a great
conversation and the next day Lauren spent two hours with Walter
working on shooting, keeping the ball close and scanning the field. I
was very impressed with Walters method of explaining his points in
language Lauren could understand. She quickly applied what she learned
and I could see a noticeable difference in her play.
In just two short hours Lauren who is the fastest player on the team
improved her speed, and accuracy on the ball. Lauren's team went on
to win the Open. Lauren scored two goals and was voted the most
valuable player by her teammates. The only regret Lauren and I have
is that Walter lives in California and we live in Washington. The
thought has crossed my mind that I should fly Walter up to Washington
for private coaching...He's that good!

Thanks to Walter's patience and knowledge of the
game of soccer, my son, Chris, who was very shy and new to the area, was able to learn a sport, even to excel in it. My son gained confidence and learned discipline. Walter isn't just a coach........he's a motivator and an
example to young men and women.
After all these years, I am still referring Walter to parents of the next generation of players.
Sincerely,
Karie A. Medhurst
I simply find it amazing that Walter Eisner is not the most famous and sought after trainer in Southern California. From day one, hour one he started to make a difference with both of my girls. I have had my kids work with the "top trainers" here, and nothing can compare to the attention, dedication and expertise that Walter provides.
Now one is going to college and the other prepares to finish high school, and Walter has, and will continue to help them get to the next level. And the next.
